NACOGDOCHES, Texas (Interstat) — An early-season Western Athletic Conference showdown between unbeaten teams is set for Friday night as the Abilene Christian Wildcats visit the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.

Both teams enter the contest with 3-0 records. Abilene Christian is coming off a dominant 104-63 victory over Southwestern Adventist on Tuesday, where Isaac Dye led the way with 20 points. The Wildcats’ most significant test so far was a narrow 73-71 win over Omaha on Nov. 6.

Stephen F. Austin also boasts a perfect start, highlighted by an 81-69 road win against Rice on Tuesday. Keon Thompson poured in 27 points for the Lumberjacks in that victory, while Kam Burton added 19. Like the Wildcats, Stephen F. Austin has won its games by comfortable margins, including a 90-65 win over Arkansas State.

The game will be played at William R. Johnson Coliseum, where the Lumberjacks will look to defend their home court. The matchup pits Abilene Christian’s high-scoring offense against a Stephen F. Austin team that has proven capable on the road.

Tipoff is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.
