DAYTON, Ohio (Interstat) — The Dayton Flyers will host the Maryland-Baltimore County Retrievers in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Saturday.

Both teams enter the contest at University of Dayton Arena with 1-0 records. The Flyers are coming off a dominant 88-48 victory over Canisius on Monday. Javon Bennett led the way with 20 points, while De’Shayne Montgomery added 16 points and five assists. Amael L’Etang chipped in 17 points and six rebounds.

UMBC opened its season with a 74-53 win over Penn St.-York on Tuesday. Jah’Likai King was the standout performer, scoring 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Ace Valentine facilitated the offense with 11 points and six assists.

The game is the first of a challenging two-game road stretch for the Retrievers, who will travel to face Morgan State on Tuesday. Dayton will also face a quick turnaround, with a road test against Cincinnati scheduled for Tuesday.
