YPSILANTI, Mich. (Interstat) — Ohio survived a last-second scare to edge Eastern Michigan 68-67 in a Mid-American Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at the Convocation Center. The Bobcats improved to 8-7 overall, while the Eagles moved to 7-7.

Ohio built its victory on interior dominance and transition play, outscoring Eastern Michigan 36-26 in the paint and 18-5 on fast breaks. The Eagles kept pace by forcing turnovers, scoring 11 points off them, and had a chance to win in the final seconds but fell just short. Ohio, a slight pregame favorite, secured the road win despite the total falling well under the projected over/under. Both teams continue conference play Tuesday.
