HIGH POINT, N.C. (Interstat) — The High Point men’s basketball team delivered a dominant performance Saturday, routing non-divisional opponent Averett 127-52 at Qubein Arena. The Panthers improved to 2-0, overwhelming the Cougars from the start with a relentless offense and stifling defense.

High Point scored 55 points in the first half and 72 in the second, showcasing efficiency by shooting 70.3% from the floor. The Panthers forced 22 turnovers, converting them into 46 points, and outscored Averett 74-12 in the paint. Terry Anderson led High Point with 16 points in just 17 minutes of play.
