BALTIMORE (Interstat) — Howard avenged a January loss with a decisive 84-59 victory over Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Hill Field House.

The Bison (19-10) used a 30-point first half to build a lead and never looked back, shooting 45.5% from the floor while holding the Bears (12-15) to 26.9%. Bryce Harris scored 22 points and Cedric Taylor added 21 for Howard. Ose Okojie contributed 20 points.

Morgan State, which got 19 points from Elijah Davis and 18 from Eugene Alvin, struggled mightily from three-point range, making only 3 of 24 attempts. Howard’s defense forced 13 turnovers and held a significant advantage in assists, 5-2, before an announced crowd of 3,237.
