Preview: Binghamton Bearcats at Army Black Knights

WEST POINT, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two men’s NCAA Division I teams looking to build momentum before conference play resumes will meet when the Binghamton Bearcats visit the Army Black Knights at Christl Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025.

Army (5-7) enters the nonconference finale with a slight edge in record and recent performance, having secured a 63-60 road win over Maryland-Baltimore County on Dec. 12 in its last outing. The Black Knights have shown resilience, with an overtime win over Manhattan and a road victory at Fairleigh Dickinson highlighting their November schedule, though they have also endured lopsided losses to power-conference opponents like Duke and Cornell.

The Black Knights are led by versatile guard Jacen Holloway, who is coming off a 12-point performance at UMBC. Over his last six games, Holloway has averaged 9.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists, providing steady all-around production.

Binghamton (3-10) seeks to halt a four-game skid, most recently an 82-61 loss at Mercyhurst on Saturday. The Bearcats’ struggles have been pronounced on the defensive end, allowing an average of 86.8 points during the losing streak. Their lone win in the last month was an 80-71 overtime victory against Lehigh on Dec. 2.

The Bearcats will lean heavily on guard Jeremiah Quigley, who has been a bright spot amid the losses. Quigley is averaging 14.4 points and 5.0 assists over his last five contests, including a 24-point effort in 39 minutes at Mercyhurst. Support from Wes Peterson, who scored 17 in that game, will be crucial.

Historically, Army holds a 6-2 advantage in the series, though the teams have not met since 2017. The matchup pits Binghamton’s America East Conference style against Army’s Patriot League approach, with both teams aiming to iron out rotations before their respective league slates begin in early January.

For Army, the game is the last of a five-game homestand. Binghamton continues a stretch of four road games in five contests. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
