North Carolina A&T at Morgan State
BALTIMORE (Interstat) — The North Carolina A&T Aggies look to continue their strong start to the season when they visit the struggling Morgan State Bears in a non-conference men’s basketball game Tuesday at Hill Field House.
North Carolina A&T (2-1) enters on a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Washington Adventist 89-83 on Thursday. The Aggies’ offense was powered by a dynamic performance from Lewis Walker, who scored 25 points and added eight rebounds and four assists. Lureon Walker also scored 25 points, while Zamoku Weluche-Ume contributed 17 points, five rebounds and three blocks. The Aggies’ only loss came on the road against a Power Five opponent, South Carolina.
Morgan State (1-3) seeks to halt a three-game skid after falling 86-72 at Mercyhurst on Saturday. Rob Lawson led the Bears with 16 points and four assists in the loss. Morgan State’s lone victory was a 101-77 rout of Central Penn on Nov. 6, but it has since suffered defeats to Georgetown, Maryland-Baltimore County and Mercyhurst.
The game represents an early test for both teams before each embarks on a challenging stretch. North Carolina A&T will next travel to face Davidson, while Morgan State is set to visit Old Dominion.
