Podyapolsky, Dynamo Moscow rally past Admiral Vladivostok on road
VLADIVOSTOK (Interstat) — Vladislav Podyapolsky stopped 36 shots and Dynamo Moscow erased a two-goal deficit with a swift second-period burst to beat Admiral Vladivostok 3-2 on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, in a Kontinental Hockey League game at Fetisov Arena.
Admiral appeared in control early. Anthony Camara opened the scoring 10:53 into the first period, with assists from Dmitry Zavgorodny and Grigory Vashchenko. Ivan Yanchenko doubled the lead at 13:40, converting with help from Oskar Bulavchuk and Nikita Yefremov. The announced attendance was 5,605, and the home crowd had reason to celebrate as the first intermission approached.
Dynamo, however, turned the game in a hurry after the break. Igor Martynov started the comeback at 21:47 of the second period, scoring from Pavel Shen and Bulat Shafigullin. Shen then tied it at 22:33, with Shafigullin and Magomed Sharakanov assisting. Sergei Zborovsky completed the surge at 23:30, scoring off a Dylan Sikura assist. The three goals came in a span of 1 minute, 43 seconds and flipped a 2-0 Admiral lead into a 3-2 Dynamo advantage.
Podyapolsky protected the lead from there. He finished with 36 saves on 38 shots, including work through a scoreless third period. Podyapolsky, Dynamo’s top star, had entered the game following a 27-save shutout at Severstal Cherepovets on Sept. 14 and a 17-save win against Dinamo Minsk on Sept. 12. His performance helped Dynamo improve to 4-2-0 this season and gave the visitors a steady presence after their early scoring flurry.
Pavel Shen finished with a goal and an assist and three shots on goal. Bulat Shafigullin had two assists, four shots on goal and one hit. For Admiral, Camara scored once, registered one shot on goal and served five penalty minutes. Yanchenko scored once and had two shots on goal and two hits. Igor Martynov and Sergei Zborovsky each scored once, with Martynov and Zborovsky each finding the net on their lone shot. Magomed Sharakanov added an assist and put two shots on net. Dmitry Zavgorodny recorded an assist and three shots on goal. Dylan Sikura also had an assist and three shots on goal.
Penalties briefly interrupted the flow. Libor Sulak of Admiral received a minor for tripping at 17:07 of the first period. Dynamo’s Igor Ozhiganov was called for interference at 34:22 of the second. In the third period, Camara and Dynamo’s Artyom Shvets-Rogovoi received five-minute majors for fisticuffs at 40:37.
Admiral’s early push was built on quick strikes and a pair of assists from its supporting cast. Camara’s goal gave the home side momentum, and Yanchenko’s finish made it 2-0 before Dynamo had found its footing. But the visitors’ response early in the second period proved decisive. Dynamo’s pressure produced three goals on consecutive scoring plays, and Admiral could not answer despite finishing with 38 shots on goal. Podyapolsky kept Admiral off the board the rest of the way.
The loss dropped Admiral to 1-4-0. Dynamo moved to 4-2-0 and completed a sweep of the season series to this point after beating Admiral 2-1 in a shootout on Sept. 9 in Moscow. Admiral had entered the game following a 2-1 loss at Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on Sept. 13, while Dynamo had won 2-0 at Severstal Cherepovets on Sept. 14. The result gave Dynamo its second straight victory and left Admiral searching for consistency early in the season.
Dynamo continues its road trip at Amur Khabarovsk on Saturday, Sept. 19. Admiral returns home to face Severstal Cherepovets on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Dynamo Moscow 3, Admiral Vladivostok 2, and its ELO system gave Dynamo a 70.1 percent probability to win. The actual result matched the projected winner and margin.
