Torpedo Rallies Past Dynamo in Overtime Thriller

MOSCOW (Interstat) — Maxim Letunov scored 2:15 into overtime to lift Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod to a 4-3 victory over Dynamo Moscow in a Kontinental Hockey League game Monday at VTB Ice Palace.

Dynamo’s Daniil Pylenkov scored twice in a three-goal third-period surge to erase a two-goal deficit and force overtime. Letunov, who also had an assist, ended it with his eighth goal of the season. Yegor Sokolov and Daniil Zhuravlyov each had a goal and an assist for Torpedo.

Denis Kostin made 32 saves for the win. Torpedo improved to 24-19 overall, while Dynamo fell to 25-18. The result avenged a 4-0 loss to Dynamo on Dec. 1.
