SKA Saint Petersburg at Lada Togliatti

Preview of KHL Game Between SKA and Lada

TOGLIATTI, Russia (Interstat) — The Kontinental Hockey League’s SKA Saint Petersburg visits Lada Togliatti on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, in a rematch of an overtime thriller from last week.

The teams last met on Jan. 7 in St. Petersburg, where SKA edged Lada 5-4 in overtime. That result extended SKA’s dominance in the recent series; they have outscored Lada 14-5 over their last three meetings, including a 3-0 shutout in Togliatti on Sept. 21, 2025.

SKA (18-15-1) enters looking to stabilize after a 5-1 loss to Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Jan. 10. Prior to that, they had earned points in three straight contests (2-0-1). Defenseman Markus Phillips, a player to watch for the visitors, is coming off a goal in that loss to Metallurg and has three points in his last seven games.

Lada (12-31-0) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 4-1 road win over HC Sochi on Jan. 9. The victory provided a rare bright spot in a difficult season. Forward Daniil Bokun, who recorded a hit in the Jan. 7 meeting with SKA, is a key physical presence for the home side.

The game at Lada Arena represents a critical opportunity for both clubs. SKA aims to solidify its playoff positioning and avoid a letdown against the league’s last-place team. Lada seeks to build on its recent win and prove its overtime performance against SKA was no fluke, potentially starting a late-season push.

SKA’s schedule intensifies after this matchup, with a game against Red Star Kunlun on Jan. 14. Lada continues a homestand against Salavat Yulaev Ufa on Jan. 15.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time.
