CHELYABINSK, Russia (Interstat) — The Shanghai Dragons visit Traktor Chelyabinsk on Wednesday in a Kontinental Hockey League matchup between teams with nearly identical records.

Shanghai, officially Red Star Kunlun, is 14-13-0 across all competitions. Traktor sits just below them in the standings at 13-16-0. The game at Traktor Sport Palace is the first meeting between the clubs since a 5-4 overtime victory for Shanghai on Oct. 4.

The Dragons are looking to rebound after a 3-2 shootout loss to Ak Bars Kazan on Sunday snapped a two-game winning streak. Shanghai had previously earned a 4-3 overtime win at Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and a 3-0 shutout of Sibir Novosibirsk.

Traktor is seeking to end a three-game skid, having lost 6-4 at home to Amur Khabarovsk on Thursday. In that contest, Shanghai forwards Joshua Leivo (one goal, one assist) and Mikhail Grigorenko (two assists) were among the most productive players.

Following this contest, Shanghai continues its road trip at Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on Friday. Traktor remains at home to host HC Sochi on the same night.
