NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Russia (Interstat) — Lada Togliatti visits Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday in a Kontinental Hockey League matchup at Trade Union Sport Palace, the third meeting between the clubs in 12 days.

Torpedo (11-9-0) enters the contest with momentum after a 7-4 victory over Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on Sunday. Forwards Yegor Vinogradov and Nikita Shavin led the offense, each recording two points.

Lada (5-14-0) looks to rebound from a 3-2 road loss to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on Tuesday. Defenseman Alex Cotton scored a goal and an assist in the defeat.

The season series has been lopsided in Torpedo’s favor, with the home team winning all three prior contests. Torpedo earned a 5-3 win at home on Oct. 19 and a 5-1 victory in Togliatti on Sept. 18. Lada’s lone positive result was a 3-2 shootout win on home ice last Friday.

The game is the first of a two-game road trip for Lada, which travels to Ak Bars Kazan next. Torpedo begins a three-game road swing at Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on Sunday.
