Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod at Lada Togliatti

TOLYATTI, Russia (Interstat) — The visiting Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod will look to continue their dominance over the struggling Lada Togliatti when the Kontinental Hockey League teams meet Friday at Lada Arena.

Torpedo (10-8-0) enters the contest following a 3-1 road victory over HC Sochi on Wednesday. Shane Prince led the offense with two goals, while Denis Kostin stopped 29 of 30 shots in the win. The team has won two of its last three games.

Lada (4-13-0) is mired in a slump, coming off a 4-0 home loss to Dinamo Minsk on Wednesday. The team has been shut out in two of its last three contests and has lost four of its last five games.

The recent history between these teams heavily favors Torpedo, which has won all three meetings this season. The most recent was a 5-3 victory for Torpedo on Oct. 19. They also earned a 5-1 win in Tolyatti on Sept. 18 and a 4-3 victory on Sept. 12.

Following this game, Torpedo will host Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on Sunday. Lada begins a road trip at Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on Tuesday. The two teams will meet again in Nizhny Novgorod on Oct. 30.
