Dinamo Minsk at Lada Togliatti

TOLYATTI, Russia (Interstat) — Dinamo Minsk looks to get back to .500 when it visits the struggling Lada Togliatti in a Kontinental Hockey League matchup on Wednesday.

The game at Lada Arena pits two teams trying to find consistency. Dinamo Minsk (6-6-0) is coming off a 5-3 road loss to CSKA Moscow on Monday. Despite the defeat, forwards Nikita Pyshkailo and Stanislav Galiyev each scored a goal in the contest. The team has shown offensive flashes, including a 7-1 victory over Torpedo on Oct. 14, but has lost two of its last three games.

Lada (4-12-0) enters on a three-game losing streak and is near the bottom of the KHL standings. It fell 5-3 at Torpedo on Sunday. Forward Andrei Obidin provided a bright spot in that loss, scoring two goals, while Andrei Altybarmakyan added a goal and an assist. Home ice has offered little advantage for Lada, which has been outscored 21-4 in its last four home games.

This contest begins a key stretch for Dinamo Minsk, which plays seven of its next eight games on home ice in Belarus after this matchup. For Lada, the game is the start of a difficult six-game road trip. The teams will meet again in Minsk on Nov. 8.
