Ávila allowed one earned run on eight hits with six strikeouts over nine innings, improving to 5-1. Tolhurst took the loss for LG and fell to 10-9. Shinsegae collected 11 hits, while LG had eight. Park Hae-min homered and drove in LG’s only run. Heredia and Jeon Ui-san each homered for Shinsegae, and Park Seong-han drove in two runs. Choi Ji-hoon added two hits and one RBI. Lee Woo-chan threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief for LG, allowing one hit with one walk and one strikeout. Yi Jung-yong and Kim Young-woo each worked a scoreless inning, while Jang Hyun-sik allowed one earned run in one inning. LG’s season record is now 71 wins, 57 losses, and 2 ties.
