SEOUL (Interstat) — Sam Hilliard hit a two-run homer in the third inning and the KT Wiz defeated the Doosan Bears 6-2 on Tuesday evening at Jamsil Stadium before 13,530.

KT, now 39-25-1, broke open a 1-1 game with four runs in the third. Kwon Dong-jin scored on an Ahn Hyun-min groundout before Hilliard homered to right, scoring Choi Won-joon. In the fifth, Ahn singled to left for another run and Kim Min-hyeok singled to center, scoring Kim Hyun-soo.

Doosan, 33-32-2, scored its first run on Yang Eui-ji’s sacrifice fly in the first. Lee Yu-chan tripled in the sixth, driving in Ryu Seung-min for the Bears’ final run.

KT collected 10 hits; Doosan had 11 but left eight runners on base. The teams meet again Wednesday at Jamsil.
