Wells Dominates as Twins Shut Out Eagles
SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — Starter Wells overpowered the Hanwha Eagles over eight dominant innings Wednesday evening, leading the LG Twins to a 3-0 victory at Jamsil Stadium.
Wells allowed just one hit and struck out seven, facing minimal threat. The Twins provided all the offense needed in the second inning when Song Chan-eui hit a two-run homer to left field, scoring Cheon Seong-ho. Moon Sung-ju added an RBI double in the fifth.
Six Hanwha pitchers combined to allow 10 hits but no runs after the fifth, a effort wasted by the Eagles’ silent bats. LG improved to 14-6, while Hanwha fell to 8-12. The teams conclude their series Thursday.
