LG at Samsung
DAEGU, South Korea (Interstat) — The Samsung Lions look to continue their strong start and secure a series win when they host the LG Twins in a Sunday afternoon matchup at Daegu Samsung Lions Park on April 19, 2026.
The first-place Lions (12-4-1) took the series opener decisively, 7-2, on Saturday. Samsung has won seven of its last nine games. The Twins (11-6), sitting just behind in the standings, aim to rebound and split the two-game set.
A key rematch could unfold in the late innings. Samsung reliever Jack O’Loughlin earned the win Saturday with 3 1/3 scoreless innings against LG. Over his last four appearances, however, he has allowed 10 earned runs in 16 innings. LG’s Kim Jin-su pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts in the same game and has been a reliable bullpen arm.
Both teams enter on solid extended runs. LG is 7-3 in its last 10 contests, including a series win over the Lotte Giants earlier last week. Samsung is 8-2 over its last 10, powered by a recent sweep of the Hanwha Eagles and a series win over the NC Dinos.
According to Interstat, the game projects as a high-scoring affair, with a simulated final score of 8-7 in favor of LG. The analytics firm’s ELO rating system gives the Twins a slight edge, projecting a 51.6% probability of victory.
First pitch is scheduled for Sunday afternoon under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature of 67 degrees Fahrenheit (19 degrees Celsius).
Following the game, LG returns to Seoul to begin a three-game series against the Hanwha Eagles on Tuesday. Samsung remains at home to start a series against the Shinsegae Landers on Tuesday.
