KT Wiz Look to Bounce Back Against NC Dinos in Changwon

CHANGWON, South Korea (Interstat) — The KT Wiz will look to even their series with the NC Dinos on Wednesday evening at Masan Baseball Stadium after dropping the opener.

The Wiz (9-5) fell 7-4 to the Dinos (7-7) on Tuesday, snapping a two-game win streak. NC’s victory evened its record and provided a boost after losing four of its previous five games.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. local time under cloudy skies with temperatures around 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius).

A player to watch for KT is reliever Kim Min-su. Over his last 10 appearances, he has been largely effective, posting a 1.69 ERA across 10.2 innings with 12 strikeouts. In Tuesday’s loss, he threw 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.

For the Dinos, shortstop Kim Ju-won broke out of a brief slump in the series opener, going 2 for 5 with a home run and an RBI. He has homered twice in his last six games but is batting just .194 (7 for 36) over that stretch.

According to Interstat’s projections, KT holds a slight edge. Their game simulator predicts a 6-3 Wiz victory, while their ELO rating system gives KT a 51.3% probability to win.

The Wiz have been strong on the road this season, going 6-2 away from home. The Dinos are 4-4 at Masan Baseball Stadium.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the two teams will conclude their three-game series on Thursday before both embark on new weekend series. KT will host the Kiwoom Heroes, while NC will welcome the Shinsegae Landers.
