Kia Tigers Ride Early Barrage, Han Jun-su’s Big Day to Rout Hanwha Eagles

DAEJEON, South Korea (Interstat) — Han Jun-su went 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs, powering the Kia Tigers to a 9-3 victory over the Hanwha Eagles on Sunday afternoon at Daejeon Hanbat Baseball Stadium.

The Tigers struck for nine runs in the first inning and never looked back, amassing 13 hits before a crowd of 17,000. Winning pitcher Adam Oller improved to 3-0, allowing two runs over five innings with seven strikeouts. John Cushing took the loss for Hanwha.

Kia’s early offensive explosion defied pregame projections that favored the Eagles. Both teams moved to 6-7 on the season. Han Jun-su doubled and homered, driving in runs in the fourth and seventh innings before his solo shot in the ninth.
