Shinsegae at LG

SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — The Shinsegae Landers and LG Twins, tied atop the early standings with identical 7-4 records, will continue their weekend series Saturday afternoon at Jamsil Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for the evening under cloudy skies with temperatures around 54 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius).

The Twins dominated the series opener Friday night, routing the Landers 10-2 behind a strong start from Yonny Chirinos and a three-RBI performance from Austin Dean, who homered. Dean has been a key offensive force for LG, collecting multiple hits in four of his last ten games, including two multi-homer performances.

A player to watch for the Landers is reliever Han Doo-sol, who provided two scoreless innings in Friday’s loss. Over his last three appearances, Han has a 3.86 ERA across five innings of work.

Despite LG’s convincing win Friday, betting markets list Shinsegae as a slight favorite with a -1.5 run spread. The over/under for total runs is set at 9.5. Predictive models offer a split verdict: Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 Landers victory, while its ELO rating system gives LG a 62.9% probability to win.

Both teams enter following similar recent stretches. The Landers had won three straight before their current two-game skid. The Twins have won five of their last seven, with their offense averaging over six runs per game in that span.

The Landers will embark on a six-game road trip after Sunday’s series finale, heading to face the Doosan Bears and NC Dinos. The Twins will host the Lotte Giants for three games beginning Tuesday before hitting the road for a series against the Samsung Lions.
