Hanwha Eagles rout Doosan Bears 9‑3 behind Wang Yan-cheng’s strong start, sweep Seoul series.
SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — The Hanwha Eagles defeated the Doosan Bears 9-3 on Saturday afternoon at Jamsil Stadium, completing a two-game sweep before a crowd of 23,750.
Starter Wang Yan-cheng led Hanwha, allowing no earned runs over six and one-third innings with four strikeouts. The Eagles’ offense provided immediate support, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding five more across the fifth and sixth. Ha Ju-suk drove in three runs for Hanwha.
Doosan managed only three unearned runs, aided by two Hanwha errors. The Bears’ bullpen, including Lee Yong-chan who struck out three in one and one-third innings, provided relief after a rough start.
Hanwha improved to 4-3, while Doosan fell to 1-5. The teams conclude their series Sunday.
