College Park vs. Greensboro

Preview: College Park Skyhawks at Greensboro Swarm

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — The surging College Park Skyhawks will look to continue their recent road success against the G League powerhouse Greensboro Swarm when the teams meet Friday night at Greensboro Coliseum Fieldhouse.

The Skyhawks (17-30) have won five of their last six games, all on the road, including a 117-114 victory at Wisconsin on Monday. They face a steep challenge against the Swarm (33-15), who own one of the league’s best records despite dropping their last two contests.

College Park’s resurgence has been fueled by guard RayJ Dennis, who is averaging 24.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 10.9 assists over his last seven games. Dennis recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists in a win over Windy City on March 10. He will be the primary focus for a Swarm defense that has allowed an average of 137 points in its two-game skid.

Greensboro will counter with center P.J. Hall, who is coming off a 34-point, 8-rebound performance in a 143-132 loss at Motor City on Wednesday. Hall has been a consistent force, posting six double-doubles in his last 10 outings.

The season series has been one-sided, with Greensboro winning the two previous matchups decisively in December. The Swarm won 139-108 on Dec. 12 and 119-100 on Dec. 14, both in College Park.

The Skyhawks are coming off a 129-120 home loss to Osceola on Wednesday, which snapped a five-game winning streak. Greensboro’s recent losses to Westchester and Motor City followed a five-game win streak of its own.

Friday’s contest is the first of a back-to-back set at the Fieldhouse, with the teams scheduled to meet again Saturday night.
