Motor City vs. Wisconsin
Motor City Cruise, Wisconsin Herd Set for G League Showdown
OSHKOSH, Wis. (Interstat) — The Motor City Cruise (23-21) and the Wisconsin Herd (13-32) will meet for the second time in as many nights Saturday at Oshkosh Arena, with the visiting Cruise looking to build on their recent success and the Herd seeking to halt a lengthy skid.
Motor City, which holds a 73% win probability according to Interstat’s ELO system, defeated Wisconsin 123-105 on Friday night. The Cruise enter the contest having won five of their last seven games, despite a narrow 123-122 road loss to Raptors 905 on Tuesday.
The Cruise are powered by forward Isaac Jones, who is in the midst of a dominant stretch. Over his last six games, Jones is averaging 31.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. He scored 37 points with six rebounds and three blocks in Tuesday’s loss.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, has lost eight of its last ten games. The Herd fell 116-115 at Windy City on Monday, their fourth loss by five points or fewer since late February. Forward Cormac Ryan has been a bright spot, averaging 29.3 points over his last three outings, including a 29-point, seven-rebound, six-assist performance in the Windy City defeat.
The season series stands at 2-1 in favor of Motor City. After Wisconsin won both matchups in November and December, the Cruise evened the ledger with Friday’s victory.
Following Saturday’s game, the Herd will host College Park on Monday. The Cruise return home to face Greensboro next Wednesday.
