College Park vs. Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Interstat) — The College Park Skyhawks delivered a dominant offensive performance to rout the Westchester Knicks 129-98 in a G League matchup on Saturday afternoon at Westchester County Center.

The Skyhawks seized control early and never relented, building a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter and expanding it steadily throughout the game. College Park’s offense operated with remarkable efficiency, scoring at least 33 points in three of the four quarters. The visitors led 68-56 at halftime and put the game out of reach by holding Westchester to just 18 points in the third quarter, stretching their advantage to 90-74 entering the final period.

The most critical sequence of the game occurred late in the second quarter and involved a significant escalation in physical play. With just six seconds remaining before halftime and College Park holding a substantial lead, Westchester’s T.J. Warren was assessed a flagrant foul type 2 on a Skyhawks player. The ruling resulted in Warren’s immediate ejection from the contest. The incident seemed to deflate the Knicks further, as they entered the break down 12 points and without one of their key performers for the remainder of the night.

College Park’s offense was a model of consistency, led by a balanced attack that overwhelmed the Westchester defense. The Skyhawks’ ball movement and shot creation were evident throughout the detailed play-by-play, which showed numerous assists leading to high-percentage shots and open three-pointers.

Defensively, College Park disrupted Westchester’s rhythm, generating turnovers and converting them into easy transition opportunities. The Knicks struggled to find any sustained offensive flow outside of brief bursts, with their scoring dipping in each successive quarter after the first.

The victory improved College Park’s record to 16-29 across all competitions this season, while Westchester fell to 12-33. The win also marked the Skyhawks’ second straight over the Knicks, having defeated them 128-121 just two days prior on Thursday.

According to Interstat’s ELO system, Westchester had entered the game with a 64.10 percent probability to win, a projection thoroughly upended by College Park’s comprehensive performance from the opening tip.

College Park next travels to face the Wisconsin Herd on Monday. Westchester returns to action at home against the Greensboro Swarm on Sunday.
