Windy City vs. Capital City

Preview: Windy City Bulls at Capital City Go-Go

WASHINGTON (Interstat) — Two teams locked in an identical, middling battle for positioning will meet Friday when the Windy City Bulls face the Capital City Go-Go in a G League matchup at CareFirst Arena.

Both teams enter with 22-23 records across all competitions, making this a pivotal game as the season enters its final weeks. The matchup comes just four days after Capital City dominated Windy City 99-77 on March 18.

Windy City (22-23) seeks to avenge that loss and build on the momentum of a thrilling 116-115 home victory over Wisconsin on Monday. In that win, forward Kevin Knox erupted for 40 points and 12 rebounds, continuing a recent surge. Over his last three games, Knox is averaging 29.0 points and 9.7 rebounds, providing a critical offensive spark for the Bulls.

Capital City (22-23) is also riding high after a 137-130 offensive showcase against Santa Cruz on Tuesday. Forward Chris Livingston powered that win with 31 points and 11 rebounds, his second 30-point double-double in recent weeks. Livingston has been a consistent force, averaging 20.1 points and 8.9 rebounds over his last nine contests.

The game features two of the league’s most potent offenses but also two defenses that have shown vulnerability. Windy City’s recent three-game win streak was fueled by scoring 124 points or more in each victory, but the Bulls have also allowed 127 and 137 points in losses this month.

Capital City’s victory earlier this week showcased its high ceiling, but consistency has been an issue. The Go-Go will look to control the pace at home and replicate their defensive success from the March 18 meeting, where they held Windy City to a season-low 77 points.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EDT Friday. Windy City travels to Birmingham for a two-game series starting Sunday, while Capital City hosts Long Island on Sunday before a weekend road trip to Delaware.
