TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Valley Suns used a dominant second quarter to defeat the Stockton Kings 117-108 in a G League game Tuesday at Mullett Arena.

Valley outscored Stockton 38-24 in the period, turning a four-point deficit after one quarter into a 10-point halftime lead it would not relinquish. The Suns, who improved to 13-33, withstood multiple pushes from the Kings, who fell to 28-16.

Stockton’s Isaiah Stevens and Patrick Baldwin led consistent offensive efforts, while Valley’s C.J. Huntley and Jaden Shackelford provided key scoring. The Suns’ 38-point quarter proved the decisive stretch, as both teams scored over 100 points in the fast-paced contest.
