Westchester vs. Noblesville

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Noblesville Boom will look to complete a home weekend sweep when they host the Westchester Knicks in a G League matchup Sunday at the Arena at Innovation Mile.

The Boom (20-25) dominated the first game of the back-to-back, routing the Knicks 141-115 on Saturday. Noblesville will aim to carry that momentum forward against a Westchester squad (11-31) mired at the bottom of the league standings and seeking to avoid a fifth consecutive loss.

A primary focus for the Knicks will be containing Noblesville guard Cameron Hildreth, who enters on a scoring tear. Hildreth is averaging 24.2 points over his last five games, including a 30-point performance in a narrow loss at Motor City on March 10. His offensive burst has been a bright spot for the Boom amid a 2-5 stretch in their last seven contests.

Westchester will counter with versatile forward Dillon Jones, who has been a consistent triple-double threat. Jones is averaging 17.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists over his last seven games, including a 21-point, 10-assist double-double in Thursday’s loss to Raptors 905. His all-around play is critical for a Knicks team that has struggled to find consistent wins.

The Boom’s offense, which exploded for 141 points Saturday, will test a Westchester defense that allows a league-worst 124.1 points per game. Noblesville has shown its own defensive vulnerabilities, however, surrendering an average of 128.4 points during its recent 2-5 slide.

Following Sunday’s contest, the Boom begin a three-game road trip at Greensboro on Wednesday. The Knicks return home to host College Park next Thursday as they continue to search for traction in the season’s final weeks.
