Capital City vs. Cleveland
Preview: Capital City Go-Go at Cleveland Charge
CLEVELAND (Interstat) — The surging Cleveland Charge will look to continue their push atop the G League standings when they host the Capital City Go-Go at Wolstein Center on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The Charge (25-14) enter with one of the league’s best records and are coming off a dominant 148-105 victory over Windy City on Tuesday. Guard Tyrese Proctor led that effort with 29 points, five rebounds and six assists in just 26 minutes, showcasing the efficient scoring that has made him a key player for Cleveland.
Capital City (20-22) arrives after snapping a two-game skid with a 126-120 road win at Grand Rapids on Thursday. The Go-Go were powered by a historic triple-double from guard Kadary Richmond, who posted 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and a dominant 34-point, 12-rebound performance from center Skal Labissiere.
Labissiere is the focal point for Capital City, averaging 23.9 points and 8.3 rebounds over his last 10 games. His recent stretch includes four 30-point performances, making him the primary concern for Cleveland’s defense.
The teams will meet again in Cleveland just two days after Sunday’s contest, adding immediate stakes to this weekend’s matchup. The Charge won the only prior meeting this season, 120-112, on Jan. 15.
Cleveland’s balanced attack, which featured six players scoring in double figures in its last outing, will test a Capital City defense that has allowed 120 or more points in seven of its last ten games. The Charge average a league-leading 127.3 points per game at home this season.
Sunday’s tipoff is set for 3 p.m. EST.
