Westchester vs. Delaware
WILMINGTON, Del. (Interstat) — The Westchester Knicks and Delaware Blue Coats will meet for the second time in three days Friday night at 76ers Fieldhouse, with Delaware looking to complete a quick home-and-home sweep in G League play.
The Blue Coats (18-20) narrowly outlasted the Knicks 125-122 on Wednesday, overcoming a 34-point, 10-assist performance from Delaware guard Kennedy Chandler. Westchester (10-29) has lost two straight and nine of its last 10 games overall.
Chandler, a player to watch for Delaware, is averaging 24.3 points and 8.2 assists over his last six contests. His backcourt duel with Westchester’s Dillon Jones, who had 17 points and eight assists Wednesday, will be pivotal.
For Westchester, center Trey Jemison is coming off a dominant 22-point, 13-rebound effort in the loss. He has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games, providing a consistent interior presence for a struggling Knicks squad.
Delaware has won all three matchups against Westchester this season, including a 134-113 victory on Nov. 8. The Blue Coats have shown improved form lately, winning three of their last four games as they push for a better playoff position.
The Knicks, anchored by Jemison and forward T.J. Warren (26 points, 10 rebounds Wednesday), will aim to break their skid and salvage a split in Wilmington before returning home. Delaware seeks to build momentum before embarking on a four-game road trip starting Sunday.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern on Friday, March 6.
