Valley vs. Texas
FRISCO, Texas (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt slides will meet Saturday when the Valley Suns visit the Texas Legends in a G League matchup at Dr Pepper Arena.
The Suns (11-26) have lost two straight, including a 113-99 home defeat to South Bay on Wednesday. The Legends (13-24) are mired in a five-game losing streak, last falling 104-99 to South Bay on Feb. 21.
Valley will lean on forward C.J. Huntley, who is coming off a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to South Bay. Over his last eight games, Huntley has averaged 12.8 points and 11.5 rebounds, recording six double-doubles in that span. His interior presence will be critical against a Texas team that features its own formidable big man.
The Legends counter with center Moussa Cisse, who has been a consistent force on the boards. Cisse posted 14 points and 13 rebounds in the recent loss to South Bay and has averaged 13.0 points and 12.0 rebounds over his last five contests. The paint battle between Huntley and Cisse will be a focal point.
This is the second meeting between the teams this season. Valley won the previous matchup 107-100 in Frisco on Jan. 23. The Suns will aim to replicate that result and snap their skid, while the Legends seek to avenge the loss and end their prolonged slump.
Both clubs are near the bottom of the league standings, adding urgency to the contest as they look to build momentum for the final month of the season. Valley begins a four-game road trip with this contest, while Texas plays the second of a three-game homestand.
Tip-off is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
