The Vipers erased an early deficit, outscoring Iowa by five in the third quarter to seize momentum and held on through a tense final period. The Wolves had a chance to tie or win on the final possession, but a late 3-pointer only narrowed the margin as time expired. With the win, Rio Grande Valley improved to 21-14, while Iowa fell to 21-16. The teams split their two-game season series.
