BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — The Birmingham Squadron edged the Long Island Nets 104-102 in a G League game Friday at Legacy Arena. The game was a tight contest throughout, with both teams scoring 25 points in the first quarter. Birmingham built a slim halftime lead, 52-41, and held off a late Long Island rally. The Nets outscored the Squadron 33-24 in the final period but fell just short. With the win, Birmingham improved to 14-26. Long Island, which had defeated the Squadron by 18 points the previous night, fell to 21-17.
