Rip City vs. Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — A surging Rip City Remix squad visits a struggling Birmingham Squadron in a G League matchup Thursday night at Legacy Arena.

The Remix (20-15) enter on a high note after a dominant 133-108 road victory over College Park on Monday. They have won three of their last four games. The Squadron (12-24), meanwhile, have the second-worst record in the league but are coming off a rare road win, 104-89 at Wisconsin on Monday, snapping a three-game skid.

The game features a compelling clash of standout performers. Rip City is led by point guard Sean Pedulla, who is in the midst of a sensational stretch. Over his last 10 games, Pedulla is averaging 25.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.6 assists. He is fresh off a near-triple-double Monday, posting 17 points, nine rebounds and 18 assists against College Park. In a loss on Feb. 7, he erupted for a career-high 46 points.

Birmingham will counter with center Hunter Dickinson, who has recorded a double-double in four of his last five appearances. In the win over Wisconsin, Dickinson logged 21 points and 11 rebounds in just 26 minutes. For the season, he averages 18.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. His interior presence will be critical against a versatile Rip City attack.

The Remix have shown a potent offense, scoring 130 or more points in three of their last five outings. Alongside Pedulla, guards Jayson Kent and Cameron Parker have been key contributors. Parker dished out 14 assists in Monday’s win.

Birmingham’s recent victory was fueled by Dickinson and forward Josh Oduro, who added 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Trey Alexander facilitated with 14 points and eight assists.

Despite their disparate records, both teams are seeking consistency. Rip City aims to solidify its playoff positioning, while Birmingham looks to build momentum from its latest win and climb out of the league cellar. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST.

For Rip City, this begins a two-game road swing before a long homestand. Birmingham plays the second of a four-game homestand before embarking on a lengthy West Coast trip.
