UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Long Island Nets used a dominant second and third quarter to defeat the Noblesville Boom 110-94 in a G League game Sunday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Long Island outscored Noblesville 66-53 across the middle two periods to build an insurmountable lead after a closely contested first quarter. The Nets’ offense proved too consistent for the Boom, who fell to 16-17 on the season.

Malachi Smith led a balanced Long Island attack. Jalen Slawson paced Noblesville in the loss. The Nets improved to 19-15.

The teams will meet again in a rematch here on Tuesday.
