EDINBURG, Texas (Interstat) — Daishen Nix scored 31 points and dished seven assists to lift the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to a 112-111 victory over the Austin Spurs in a G League matchup Saturday at Bert Ogden Arena.

The Vipers, who led by as many as 11, survived a late push from Austin. Harrison Ingram’s 23 points and 15 rebounds paced the Spurs, who got 23 points from Donovan Williams. Rio Grande Valley built its lead with consistent quarters, scoring 31 points in both the first and second periods. Austin’s 18-point fourth quarter fell just short.

With the win, Rio Grande Valley improved to 19-13. Austin dropped to 22-9.
