SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (Interstat) — The San Diego Clippers built a large early lead and held off the Memphis Hustle for a 116-105 G League victory Friday night at DeSoto Civic Center.

San Diego established control with a 29-point first quarter, leading by eight and never trailing. The Clippers maintained a steady advantage despite Memphis cutting the deficit to single digits at times in the second half. The Hustle could not overcome their slow start.

With the win, San Diego improved to 18-16. Memphis fell to 10-21. The teams meet again at the same venue Sunday.
