Sioux Falls vs. Texas
Preview: Skyforce, Legends Meet in G League Showdown
FRISCO, Texas (Interstat) — The Sioux Falls Skyforce and Texas Legends will conclude a two-game set Sunday at Dr Pepper Arena, with both teams looking to build momentum heading into February.
The Skyforce (17-13) enter with the superior record but are coming off a 115-97 road loss to Birmingham on Wednesday. Sioux Falls had won three of its previous four before that defeat. The Legends (12-17) have dropped three straight, including a 126-119 loss at Rip City on Wednesday, and have lost seven of their last 10.
A marquee matchup will feature Sioux Falls guard Jahmir Young against Texas forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Young has been on a historic tear, averaging 29.4 points and 9.3 assists over his last 10 games. He has recorded a double-double in points and assists in six of those contests, including a 36-point, 12-assist effort in a loss to Salt Lake City on Jan. 18 and a 22-point, 17-assist performance the following night.
Robinson-Earl has been a consistent force for Texas, posting a double-double in five of his last seven games. He is averaging 19.9 points and 12.7 rebounds over that stretch, highlighted by a 29-point, 15-rebound game in a Jan. 9 overtime win over Cleveland.
In Saturday’s first meeting of the series, details of which were not provided, the teams likely sized each other up for this rematch. For Sioux Falls, support for Young against Birmingham came from Dennis Smith (18 points, five rebounds, five assists) and Vladislav Goldin (12 points, nine rebounds). Texas, in its last outing, saw strong performances from Jordan Hall (24 points, eight assists) and Dalano Banton (22 points, nine assists) alongside Robinson-Earl.
The game represents a chance for Sioux Falls to solidify its playoff positioning and for Texas to halt its slide and climb back into the Western Conference race. Following Sunday’s contest, Sioux Falls returns home to face Maine twice next week, while Texas heads to Austin on Wednesday before a weekend homestand against Stockton.
Tip-off is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
