Delaware vs. Valley

Preview: Blue Coats at Suns, G League Showdown Set for Sunday

TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to reverse recent struggles will meet when the Delaware Blue Coats visit the Valley Suns in a G League contest Sunday at Mullett Arena.

The Blue Coats (10-18) arrive after a 133-119 home loss to Motor City on Jan. 24, their fourth defeat in five games. Delaware’s offense has shown flashes, including a 155-point outburst in a win at College Park on Jan. 16, but consistency has been elusive.

A bright spot has been guard Kennedy Chandler, who enters Sunday on a strong run of playmaking. Over his last nine games, Chandler has averaged 17.0 points and 9.7 assists, including a 25-point, 14-assist performance in the win over College Park and a 27-point effort against Motor City. His ability to generate offense will be central to Delaware’s chances.

The Suns (8-21) have lost three of their last four, most recently a 116-107 home loss to Austin on Tuesday. Valley has found wins hard to come by, with only two victories since Jan. 6.

Valley will rely on forward C.J. Huntley, who is coming off a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Austin. Huntley has provided interior presence, recording multiple blocks in four of his last ten appearances.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Delaware is projected to win with a final score of 122-100. The teams last met just days ago on Jan. 30, with Delaware securing a 38-30 victory in a game where detailed statistics were not provided.

Following Sunday’s matchup, Delaware returns home to face Wisconsin on Feb. 5. Valley begins a road trip at Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 4.

Tip-off is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
