Windy City vs. Oklahoma City

Preview: Windy City Bulls at Oklahoma City Blue

TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — The Windy City Bulls and Oklahoma City Blue meet for the second time in three days Wednesday at BOK Center, with the visiting Bulls looking to complete a quick two-game sweep of their G League foe.

Windy City (12-13) dominated the first matchup Monday, cruising to a 104-84 victory over Oklahoma City (8-20). The Bulls will aim to replicate that defensive effort after a 114-104 road loss to Westchester last Friday.

Forward Kevin Knox has been a consistent force for Windy City and is a player to watch. He is averaging 22.1 points and 8.9 rebounds over his last seven games, including a 28-point, 16-rebound performance in a win at San Diego on Jan. 15. In Friday’s loss to Westchester, Knox logged 21 points and seven rebounds in 36 minutes.

The Oklahoma City Blue, who play their home games in Tulsa, enter on a positive note after securing a rare road sweep at San Diego last weekend. They won 113-109 on Friday and followed with a 113-92 rout on Saturday.

Guard Zhaire Smith powered that surge for the Blue, erupting for 36 points and seven assists in 44 minutes in Saturday’s win. Over his last 10 games, Smith has averaged 24.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists, highlighted by a 40-point, 13-rebound outing against Texas on Jan. 2.

Despite Oklahoma City’s recent success, its season-long struggles and Monday’s lopsided loss to the Bulls present a significant challenge. Windy City holds a clear edge in the standings and will rely on Knox’s interior presence and scoring to counter Smith’s dynamic backcourt production.

The game is the final contest for both teams before the G League’s Showcase Cup transition. Windy City begins a two-game set at Greensboro on Friday, while Oklahoma City’s next game is at home against Rio Grande Valley on Sunday.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CST Wednesday at BOK Center.
