Austin vs. Valley
AUSTIN, Texas (Interstat) — The surging Austin Spurs, owners of the G League’s best record, will face the struggling Valley Suns in a Sunday matinee at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona.
The game, scheduled for Jan. 25, 2026, features a stark contrast in fortunes. Austin (19-6) enters on a six-game winning streak, while Valley (7-19) has lost 10 of its last 13 contests. A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a lopsided affair, simulating a 123-100 victory for the visiting Spurs.
Austin’s success is fueled by forward Harrison Ingram, who has been a dominant force on the boards. Over his last seven games, Ingram has averaged a remarkable 15.3 rebounds, including four consecutive double-doubles. In Thursday’s 110-103 win over Capital City, he nearly posted a triple-double with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists. He is complemented by guards Jayden Nunn and Kyle Mangas, who combined for 47 points in that victory.
The Suns, conversely, have struggled for consistency but are coming off a 117-111 home win over Stockton on Wednesday. Guard Jamaree Bouyea led the way with an efficient 27 points in just 24 minutes. Center Khaman Maluach added a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
The Spurs have excelled in close games during their streak, with three wins by four points or fewer. Valley has had difficulty closing, with five losses by six points or fewer since late December.
This is the first of a quick two-game set between the teams in Tempe; they will meet again on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Following Sunday’s contest, Austin continues a road swing, while Valley prepares to host Delaware.
Tip-off is set for Sunday afternoon at Mullett Arena, the home of the Suns.
