South Bay Lakers Dominate Mexico City Capitanes in High-Scoring G League Affair

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (Interstat) — The South Bay Lakers used a potent first-half offensive display to secure a 125-95 victory over the Mexico City Capitanes in a G League game Saturday at the UCLA Health Training Center. The Lakers built a commanding 66-42 lead by halftime and never relented, avenging a loss to the Capitanes just two days prior.

South Bay’s balanced attack proved overwhelming. Arthur Kaluma led a group of six Lakers scoring in double figures. Mexico City guard Boo Buie provided a bright spot in the loss with a persistent offensive effort.

With the win, South Bay evened its season record at 13-13. Mexico City fell to 17-12.
