Oklahoma City vs. Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Stockton Kings squad will host a struggling Oklahoma City Blue team in a G League matchup Sunday at Stockton Arena.

The Kings (16-8) enter on a four-game winning streak, most recently defeating the Long Island Nets 118-112 on Monday. Forward Daeqwon Plowden has been the catalyst, averaging 28.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists over his last seven games. He erupted for 40 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the win over Long Island.

Conversely, the Blue (6-17) have lost five of their last six, including a 123-99 road loss to Rip City on Wednesday. Rookie forward Brooks Barnhizer has been a bright spot, posting a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds in that defeat. His performance marked a significant uptick from his limited role in a December victory.

Stockton’s offense has been potent during its streak, scoring 120 or more points in three of the four wins. The Kings also boast a strong home record, having won three straight at Stockton Arena by an average margin of 16 points.

Oklahoma City has faced defensive challenges, allowing 119.2 points per game during its 1-5 stretch. The Blue will need to contain Plowden and find consistent scoring beyond Barnhizer to compete.

This game is the only scheduled meeting between the teams this season. Following this contest, Stockton begins a road trip at Valley on Wednesday, while Oklahoma City returns home to host Austin on Tuesday.

Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. PST Sunday.
