Stars Outlast Skyforce in High-Scoring G League Rematch
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Interstat) — The Salt Lake City Stars avenged a loss from the previous afternoon by holding off the Sioux Falls Skyforce 115-108 in a G League contest Sunday at Sanford Pentagon.
Salt Lake City built a 60-54 halftime lead behind a strong first half and maintained control despite a persistent Sioux Falls offense. The Skyforce, led by Jahmir Young’s dynamic playmaking, mounted several challenges but could not overtake the visitors.
Oscar Tshiebwe anchored the Stars with a dominant interior performance, facilitating the offense and scoring key baskets. John Tonje provided crucial perimeter scoring for Salt Lake City. For Sioux Falls, Young orchestrated the offense while Trevor Keels and Gabe Madsen connected from long range in the comeback attempt.
The Stars improved to 18-9, while the Skyforce fell to 15-11.
