Capitanes Dominate Vipers in High-Scoring G League Affair
MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — The Mexico City Capitanes delivered an offensive clinic Wednesday night, cruising past the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 139-102 in a G League matchup at Estadio Azteca. The Capitanes seized control with a 35-point second quarter, building a 63-44 halftime lead they would not relinquish. Mexico City’s attack was relentless, scoring at least 35 points in three of the four quarters. The victory improved the Capitanes to 15-10 this season, while the Vipers fell to an even 12-12. It was the second consecutive lopsided win for Mexico City over Rio Grande Valley in as many nights.
