Osceola vs. College Park

ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Osceola Magic unleashed a dominant first-half offensive performance and never looked back, cruising past the College Park Skyhawks 130-109 in a G League matchup Monday night at Gateway Center.

The Magic, improving to 16-8, set the tone immediately with a blistering 36-point first quarter, building a 15-point lead by the end of the period. The onslaught continued in the second quarter as Osceola poured in 41 more points, taking a commanding 77-63 lead into halftime. The Skyhawks, who fell to 7-16, could not recover from the early deficit despite a 42-point second quarter of their own, as their defensive struggles proved insurmountable.

The most pivotal stretch of the game occurred in the opening quarter, where Osceola established control with a combination of efficient scoring and disruptive defense. After the Skyhawks’ Caleb Houstan opened the scoring with a 3-pointer, the Magic responded with a 15-3 run. The surge was fueled by active hands and transition opportunities, including a steal and running dunk from Reece Beekman and a dunk from Will Baker off a feed from Alex Morales. College Park was hampered by five turnovers in the quarter, which Osceola converted into easy baskets. The Magic’s ball movement was sharp, with Beekman tallying three assists in the opening period, and their shooting was scorching, connecting on multiple 3-pointers to quickly stretch the lead to double digits. This early explosion provided a cushion that the Skyhawks, despite several rallies, would never seriously threaten.

Osceola’s offense was balanced and relentless. After the high-scoring first half, the Magic maintained their composure in the third quarter, extending their lead slightly before closing out the victory. The Skyhawks were led by a persistent effort from Nikola Djurisic, who attacked the rim and drew frequent fouls, and Malik Williams, who provided inside-out scoring. RayJ Dennis facilitated much of College Park’s offense with a series of assists, but the team’s defensive execution was lacking against a potent Magic attack.

The result aligned with pregame projections from Interstat, which gave Osceola a 75% probability to win and forecasted a 25-point victory. The Magic’s season-best offensive output continued a trend of high-scoring games, having now surpassed 130 points in three of their last five contests. College Park, meanwhile, has lost three of its last four.

Osceola next travels to face Greensboro on Saturday. College Park returns to action at home against Delaware on Wednesday.
