Osceola vs. College Park

Osceola Magic Look to Extend Win Streak Against Struggling College Park Skyhawks

ATLANTA (Interstat) — The surging Osceola Magic will visit the struggling College Park Skyhawks in a G League matchup Monday at Gateway Center.

The Magic (14-8) enter on a three-game win streak, most recently defeating the Birmingham Squadron 111-106 on Thursday. The Skyhawks (6-15) have lost two straight, including a 132-128 overtime loss at Grand Rapids on Thursday.

Osceola has been led by the consistent play of guard Lester Quinones. Over his last 10 games, Quinones is averaging 20.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He posted 17 points and nine rebounds in the win over Birmingham.

College Park will counter with guard RayJ Dennis, who is coming off a 26-point, 10-assist double-double in the overtime loss to Grand Rapids. His backcourt play will be critical for a Skyhawks team that has allowed 116.3 points per game during its current skid.

The teams are on opposite trajectories. Osceola has won seven of its last 10 contests, while College Park has lost eight of its last 10. The Magic’s offense has been potent, scoring 120 or more points in five of those victories.

In their last outing, the Magic also received strong contributions from Ja’Vonte Smart (24 points) and Alex Morales (13 points, 12 rebounds). The Skyhawks saw Basheer Jihad add 27 points and 11 rebounds alongside Dennis’s effort against Grand Rapids.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a decisive 125-100 victory for the visiting Magic.

Following Monday’s game, Osceola will travel to face Greensboro on Jan. 17. College Park begins a three-game homestand against Delaware on Jan. 14.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at Gateway Center in Atlanta.
