Osceola vs. Windy City

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (Interstat) — The Osceola Magic look to avenge a recent loss and continue their strong form when they visit the Windy City Bulls in a G League matchup Saturday at Sears Centre Arena.

Osceola (12-7) enters on a four-game winning streak, including a 129-126 road victory over Rip City on Wednesday. The Magic, however, fell 41-31 to these same Bulls just one day prior, on Friday, Jan. 2. Windy City (9-9) seeks consistency after a 138-117 loss at Motor City on Monday snapped a brief two-game win streak.

A key matchup will feature two of the league’s top forwards. Osceola’s Alex Morales is averaging a double-double over his last 10 games, posting 16.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest. He is coming off a 26-point, 10-rebound performance in Wednesday’s win. For Windy City, Kevin Knox has been a high-volume scorer, averaging 19.7 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last 10. He poured in 26 points with 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the loss to Motor City.

The Magic have found success with balanced contributions. In Wednesday’s win, Justin Minaya added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Reece Beekman chipped in 21 points and 8 assists. Windy City relies heavily on Knox and center Giorgi Bezhanishvili, who had 18 points and 6 rebounds in Monday’s game.

Osceola’s winning run has been fueled by offensive efficiency, scoring 119 points or more in each of the four victories. Windy City’s defense, which allowed 138 points in its last outing, will be tested. The Bulls are 5-4 at home this season.

Following this contest, Osceola begins a three-game road trip at Birmingham on Jan. 8. Windy City starts a three-game homestand against Delaware on Jan. 8.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST Saturday.
