Rip City vs. Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — A Pacific Division rivalry will be renewed Sunday when the Stockton Kings host the Rip City Remix in a G League matchup at Stockton Arena.

The game features two of the Western Conference’s top teams early in the season. The Kings (10-6) enter with a slight edge in the standings over the Remix (9-7). The teams have split their two meetings this month, setting the stage for a rubber match. Stockton dominated the most recent encounter, winning 129-100 on Dec. 16 in Rip City, but the Remix claimed a 116-110 victory at home on Dec. 15.

All eyes will be on a compelling backcourt duel between two of the league’s most dynamic guards. Rip City’s Javonte Cooke arrives in stellar form, averaging 25.8 points over his last six games. He is coming off a 33-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 121-119 win over Windy City on Monday. Cooke torched the Kings for 36 points in the Remix’s victory earlier this month.

Stockton will counter with Devin Carter, who has been a consistent force. Carter posted a 30-point, 12-rebound, five-assist performance in the Kings’ 29-point rout of Rip City on Dec. 16. Over his last five outings, he is averaging 23.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

Both teams are looking to rebound from recent losses. The Remix fell 127-122 at Cleveland on Dec. 20 following their narrow win over Windy City. The Kings are coming off a 127-123 road loss to Salt Lake City on Dec. 21, which snapped a three-game winning streak.

The contest will be the second of a back-to-back set between the clubs at Stockton Arena, following a scheduled game on Saturday, Dec. 27. Sunday’s result will provide crucial momentum as both teams head into their final games of the 2025 calendar year.
