BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — The Birmingham Squadron dominated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 142-111 in a G League game Tuesday night at Legacy Arena. The Squadron seized control with a 43-point second quarter, turning a narrow 32-34 deficit after one period into a 75-59 halftime lead and never looked back.

Hunter Dickinson led Birmingham with 27 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists. D.J. Carton added 25 points and eight assists. Efe Abogidi scored 20 points for the Vipers, who fell to 7-7. Birmingham improved to 5-9, avenging a loss to Rio Grande Valley just two days prior. The Squadron’s offensive outburst far exceeded a pregame projection that had favored the Vipers to win.
